Hi there! I'm Laura, the owner of Goldfinch Quilting.  My home is in Seattle, where I love to run, hike, watch BBC mysteries and of course QUILT! I have a son, Emmett, a cat, Nano, and an APQS Millie named Cece (after my late, beloved dog).

My sewing journey started in 2007 after a friend invited me to take a class for beginners and I have been addicted to sewing and quilting ever since. The act of selecting fabric, cutting it up and sewing it back together is one of my very favorite things to do!  

 

After 20 years of working as a nurse, I decided I wanted to work in a more creative field. My immediate thought was to channel my love of quilting into a small business. I now work part-time as a nurse and part-time as a longarm quilter. I deeply respect the time, the intention and the painstaking effort you have put into piecing your creation and I look forward to professionally and cheerfully helping you finish your quilt!
